FEW Baltic II
F.E.W. Baltic II is in the Polish part of the Baltic sea on an area of 41 km² at water depths of 30-50 meters and a distance of around 50 km to shore. Once constructed F.E.W. Baltic II will deliver 350 MW and supply 350,000 households with sustainable renewable energy.
Site investigations have been successfully finalized. Both the geophysical and the geotechnical survey have been executed by local Polish contractors.
The project is developed by a mixed team from Poland and Germany.
F.E.W. Baltic II is qualified for the first phase of offshore wind projects in Poland and is thus likely to be one of the first projects to go into the construction and subsequent operation phases.
We are happy to report that we have signed the Grid Connection Agreement for our 350 MW FEW Baltic II Offshore Wind Farm project. The project is being developed in the Polish part of the Baltic sea and is planned to be one of the first to start construction in the Polish Baltic Sea. Once constructed the wind farm will be capable to supply sustainable renewable energy for around 350,000 households.
The FEW Baltic II project is part of the continued expansion of our renewables portfolio in Poland, one of our core markets in Europe. We have already gained considerable experience and operate about a dozen onshore wind farms here with a total capacity of approximately 390 MW. And we aim to develop and build several Offshore Projects until the end of the decade.

RWE committed / boundary: Offshore Wind Act coming into effect
- The project was acquired in August 2019 and since then further developed
- Baltic II is eligible for Phase I as soon as the Offshore Wind Act is adopted
- Received Offshore Location Permit (OLL) and Grid Connection Conditions (GCC)
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report handed in to authorities
- RWE has the experience and is fully committed to realize the project in time and on budget
